This February
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has confirmed today that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro will be keynote speakers at the 2016 D.I.C.E. Summit. It’ll take place on Tuesday, on February 16 (the event will run until February 18 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas). They will apparently offer insight into their “creative vision and artistic pursuits” at the keynote. Kojima will also be inducted into the Academy’s Hall of Fame at that time.
With as much as these two have been screwed by studios, it’s nice to see them together as friends on a stage. In other news, del Toro’s Crimson Peak is seeing a home release this month, and I hope people give it a second chance after it was mismarketed as a horror film.
