Klonoa remake comes to Wii in Japan

Please tell me you played the PlayStation 2.5D platformer Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. If you didn’t, you missed a weird and fantastic 1997 classic, which featured a long eared flying cat-rabbit thing that wore a ballcap with Pac-Man on it. Uhh… it’s better than I just made it sound.

If you missed it in the past, you’ll get another chance when the title ships for the Wii. Namco Bandai just announced a full remake, with upgraded graphics promised. Japan will get the title on December 4th; 1UP says that no US release date has been announced.

The good news is that this platformer has not been wagglized. The title will be playable with a sideways Wii Remote and the two action buttons or with the Wii Classic controller.
