Guerrilla Games is known pretty much exclusively for creating Killzone games (it developed Shellshock: Nam ’67 but who remembers that?). Having been linked solely with orange-eyed space Nazis since 2004, it’s interesting to see that the team has something completely fresh in the works.
The team apparently has a new IP in the conceptual stages, and has been brainstorming for ideas.
“There are so many ideas. It gives a good picture of what the studio wants,” says studio head Herman Hulst. “We had quite a quick idea of what we want to do, but it’s still too early to talk about it.”
I’m always interested when developers who are strongly linked with a single franchise try something new, especially if it’s a franchise I like. As a big fan of Killzone, I’m really interested to see what else Guerrilla can do. Maybe it won’t even be an FPS. What a brave new world that would be.
