Kiefer Sutherland says he worked on new Mortal Kombat

There was bound to be another one eventually!

This is one of those stories that you come into with a confused look on your face and leave a moment later with that exact same puzzled expression. Speaking to IGN about voicing Snake in Metal Gear Solid V — a role he’s been working on for “over a year” — actor Kiefer Sutherland said “I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like [MGSV].”

The big news here is obviously the existence of a new Mortal Kombat, sure — after the last one, we’re hungry for another installment — but I can’t figure out who Sutherland would even play or why he’d be a top pick for the gig. Is getting someone like him not overkill? (No disrespect, MK.)
