Kickstart the zombie end times: Dead State gets funded

Recommended Videos

Doublebear Production’s zombie RPG Dead State has been in production for quite a while now, but like many other recent indie projects, they recently turned to Kickstarter for a spot of crowd-funding. And now they’ve got it, meeting their $150,000 goal with about 12 days to spare.

Dead State takes a unique approach to the saturated zombie genre, focusing on you as leader of a small survivor shelter during a “World War Z” sort of scenario. The game promises tough decisions, base-building, psychology-based character interaction, and a host of other cool things that you can read all about on their page.

Also on the page are their stretch goals, which range from some additional weapons to entire new settings, dog companions, and backstory expansions. Read about them in detail here.

Further funding for the project starts at $15, and pretty much amounts to a preorder (at half final price).
