It’s Infinity Ward’s turn again

[Update: It’s now official. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is back this October with a story campaign, multiplayer, co-op missions, and even cross-platform support between PC and console players.]

Infinity Ward has set the date for its Call of Duty 2019 reveal announcement. As promised, we’ll get our first look at this year’s game believed to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare  ahead of E3. The developer is “going dark” until Thursday, May 30 at 10:00am Pacific / 1:00pm Eastern. Then it’s showtime.

Fittingly, this teaser has the same mood as Infinity Ward’s lead-in for 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.

I’m not at all bothered by the back-to-basics naming convention (it happens all the dang time in gaming), but I’m curious to see how much of a supposed “soft reboot” Call of Duty: Modern Warfare actually ends up being. Either way, I want to see what Infinity Ward’s been up to lately.
