Kaz Hirai to take over as Sony CEO in April

Recommended Videos

Mr. Ridge Racer keeps moving up. Kaz Hirai was over Sony Computer Entertainment up until last year, but got pushed up to VP over the Consumer Products and Services group, putting him in charge of Sony’s entire consumer electronics business. And now he’s moving up to the top, taking over as CEO and president over Sony Corp. in April.

Kaz will replace Howard Stringer in April 1, becoming Sony’s youngest CEO. Sony’s business has been dragging ass lately, losing market share to Apple, Samsung and others, and they’re hoping that Hirai can turn it around for them.

Here’s looking forward to more stage presentations and opportunities for soundboards.
