Karin confirmed for Street Fighter V

Street Fighter V is looking more and more alpha every week, as I noted in my recent preview for Rashid. Capcom has just announced that Karin will be joining the cast, a character that fans have been wanting to return for quite a while after her debut in Alpha 3. She will be playable at TGS, so expect some footage whirling around in the near future.

Karin’s story is connected with Sakura (who isn’t confirmed yet), as they are major rivals in the Street Fighter narrative. The game will launch with 16 characters (with more to come as DLC) — Karin’s announcement makes 13 confirmed fighters so far.
