The clever lads at Vlambeer have released a new time-waster called KARATE. The game, which was put together in a little under two hours to alleviate their own boredom, is a karate simulator. As we all know, Karate is the art of sending people to the Gods in heaven with your fists.
SUMMARY: You control a blue dude. You’re surrounded by white dudes. Send the white dudes to the Gods in heaven with your fists.
Because it’s Vlambeer, the scoring isn’t totally straightforward. Hitting enemies with your fists builds a chain, but actual points are only awarded when you’ve launched enemies past the top of the screen. Every time you send someone to the Gods in heaven, you score the current chain total in points. Lots of fun for a few minutes, possibly longer if you wanted to beat my high score of 18,862 points.
