This week’s Arcade Archive release, courtesy of retro fans Hamster, is getting set for some intense exploding fist action, as classic one-on-one fighter Karate Champ returns for Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Technos and originally released in arcades back in 1984, Karate Champ is one of the fledgling titles in the fighting game genre. One or two players can engage in hand-to-hand combat, with an impressive (for the day) 24 moves available. Karate Champ’s gameplay would be adapted by other developers into classics such as Yie Ar Kung Fu and IK+, though the former does not have the latter’s ability to drop your pants.

Karate Champ is available to download now on Nintendo Switch, priced at around $8.
