Japanese action game king Hideki Kamiya has been dancing around the issue of a Bayonetta sequel, refusing to confirm that a sequel is in the works, but doing very little to stem the tide of gossip. In fact, his attempts to answer rumors have only created more questions.
Kamiya was asked on Twitter if a new game in an established franchise was coming, and if such a game would star a certain sexy hair-witch. His answer to both questions was “You’ll see soon.”
Naturally, these answers spurred a slew of speculation and screams of “Bayonetta 2 confirmed!” Kamiya then apologized for his poor English, explaining that he meant to say, “you’ll see now what I’m doing.” I’m guessing that just means he’s working on something, but it could be anything.
The last time Kamiya talked about Bayonetta 2 he told us all it would happen if we believed hard enough. So, start clapping your hands and wishing!
