As reported by Variety, the rights to make a film out of Just Cause have been acquired from Eidos by Adrian Askarieh, who is currently working on producing a Kane & Lynch movie as well.
You might also recall that Askarieh was the producer responsible for a film based on another videogame, Hitman, which I regrettably had the chance to catch last week when it was on TV. I can still hardly believe I watched the movie from beginning to end.
If there’s one thing that made Just Cause enjoyable, it was the game’s phenomenal storyline, not its hilariously awesome grappling hook/base-jumping action. Oh wait.
