Journey Collector’s Edition makes its way to Europe

Europe gets some delayed love from Sony

Journey was the little game that could — the indie David that took on the triple-A blockbuster Goliaths of the gaming world…and won. It was critically acclaimed, won a plethora of awards, and perhaps most importantly, gave many people a unique and distinctive gaming experience that has affected their lives in some way or another.

Earlier last year US gamers were treated to a special collector’s edition of the game, which included a whole host of extras — from two extra games — flOw and Flower, soundtracks and developer commentaries, concept art, videos, avatars and themes. Upon seeing that myself, I long considered importing it, but now I don’t have to as it’s finally coming to Europe. Digitally, it was released on the EU Playstation Store yesterday at £15.99 [$24.50], but there is a physical release also scheduled to be available in the near future, which will have “exclusive PSN avatars, including never before released Journey and Flower avatars” to justify the wait.

Now, anyone who’s interested in Journey will probably have already bought it and played it by now, so I guess it’s just a case of how big a fan you are. As for anyone who hasn’t heard, played, or owned it yet, this is most definitely the best way to go.
