John Woo wants to make another Stranglehold game

Recommended Videos

What can one say about John Woo’s Stranglehold? We could say that the demo was awesome. We could also say that Midway should have just released the demo at retail and charged two bucks for it, rather than stretch it out into a full game and failing. Nevertheless, a Stranglehold movie is still on the cards, and Woo has stated that another game may arrive.

“We are going to make that into a movie,” confirms the director. “… I don’t have that much time, even though I want to make [another game] again. But for the moment, I also am producing two movies. One is shooting in Taiwan. One is shooting in Shanghai. So I am quite busy these days.”

If the movie isn’t two hours of Chow Yun-Fat jumping in slow motion from left to right and doing nothing else, then I declare it will be the least faithful videogame movie yet made.
