Joe Danger Touch is all set for iOS this month

January is in the cards

Two developers at Hello Games made the realization one day that Joe Danger would translate perfectly to the mobile platform. After the well received Special Edition and sequel, it appears as if that dream will finally become a reality this month with Joe Danger Touch.

The game will not be a port, and will feature Gamecenter Challenges, extra characters, and of course, optimized touch controls. Although there will be in-app-purchasing, the developers have stated that it will be possible to earn everything legit.

In addition to the above details, Hello Games’ Sean Murray also told us a bit about the philosophy behind an iOS release: “I want it to feel like it could only work on iOS, because we’ve built it specifically for the device. Towards the end of the game, it gets super difficult, probably more so than the console version. I’m amazed what levels I can handle sometimes, and the subtlety possible with just a touch interface.”

I’ve been playing a near-ready preview build, and I have to say, I’m enjoying it. Stay tuned later this month for a full hands on review of the final version!
