Joe Danger is off to a great start with its first trailer

This reveal trailer for Hello Games‘ Joe Danger is great for a number of reasons. First and foremost, the game is oozing with colors I forgot even existed after years of gloomy-looking videogames. I admire the simplicity as well; sure, you’re supposed to pull off mad trickz, but doing so looks intuitive.

And then there’s the fantastic music. Is it just me, or does that song sound like a mix between something you’d hear in Yoshi’s Island and Wario Land? It really fits the whole vibe of Joe Danger, which reminds me of the mindless fun you’d get from cheerful 16-bit-and-older games.

Lastly, Nick was quoted in the trailer, which is always cool to see. His reaction: “pretty neat.” Dude isn’t even phased by the news. That’s our Nick.
