I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t know NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson from a hole in the wall. He’s one of the sport’s top drivers, but since I don’t watch NASCAR, why should I care about his upcoming game, Jimmie Johnson’s Anything With An Engine? The answer: it lets you drive a dumpster.
The game was announced last week, and it sounds crazy. It’s an over-the-top racer that slaps engines and wheels on regular objects (a dumpster and a lawnmower were given examples) and lets you race them against other similarily whacky vehicles. This trailer of the game in action basically confirms what I suspected — this game could be some nutty fun.
Stick around until the end of the trailer, which confirms that you’ll also be able to race a Porta-Potty, a bathtub, a couch, and a coffin. Yeah…
Jimmie Johnson’s Anything With An Engine is out next year, and expected to hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii, although the game’s publisher Autumn Games has yet to officially confirm platforms.
