Japan’s 50 top selling Xbox 360 games listed

The good folks at NeoGAF bring us a scan from Famitsu Xbox360 detailing the top 50 best selling Xbox 360 titles in Japan. These numbers come from Enterbrain tracking. Without further ado:

01. Blue Dragon – 203,740
02. Dead or Alive 4 – 108,618
03. Ace Combat 6 – 83,045
04. Halo 3 – 82,987
05. Ridge Racer 6 – 73,501
06. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion – 72,274
07. Trusty Bell – 70,244
08. Gears of War – 68,270
09. Dead Rising – 68,078
10. Lost Planet – 61,555

That’s right: the best selling title moved less than a quarter of a million units. I guess that 203,000 units for a Japanese Xbox 360 game is pretty good, though.

Some of the rankings come as a bit of a surprise. Lost Odyssey came in at No. 12 with just over 60,000 units sold; Ridge Racer 6 sold more copies. I would’ve also guessed that Namco Bandai’s Idolm@aster would have sold better, but only 48,695 copies were sold.

Hey, Japan. If Culdcept Saga only sold 27,000 units, I’d think that would be pretty good motivation to hurry up and release it in the US. We’ll buy it!

These top 50 Xbox 360 come to a lifetime total of 1,818,924. That may sound like a big number, but November’s US sales of Super Mario Galaxy and Guitar Hero III beat this lifetime total easily.
