Japanese MMO Wizardry Online to go West in 2012

MMO Wizardry Online launched in open beta last week in Japan. Publisher Gamepot says that they’ve already added new servers as more than 100,000 gamers signed up on the first day. Now, following that success, they’d like to bring an English version of the game to the US and Europe.

“For Gamepot, it is truly amazing to see so many enthusiastic fans of the ‘Wizardry’ franchise participate in the open beta testing, and now live service, of Wizardry Online,” said Shuhei Ueda, president of Gamepot. “Bringing this innovative and legendary series to a new platform has been a rewarding process and we’re looking forward to continuing our world-wide rollout to fans around the globe.”

This revival of the classic game has all the dungeons you could ever want to crawl, but now with party play and PvP. There’s already an English language webpage for the game.

I’m definitely interested. Are you?
