It’s real! Hudson officially announces The Calling for Wii

Recommended Videos

A few months back, promising-looking footage for a horror game called The Calling popped up on YouTube. It was ripped down rather swiftly, however, and Hudson claimed that while the game was a real one they were working on, that the footage was stolen from them. It was a bit of a fiasco, and for a while there was no word of the game (much to my great disappointment).

You can imagine, then, that I was ecstatic to see that Famitsu has announced the game is officially coming for Wii. Apparently the game is about 70 percent complete and you use a cell phone in the game to receive calls, send and receive texts and record audio. From the pictures we can guess that some of the characters include a trip of schoolgirls, a mysterious older man and a young girl. There’s also talk that th egame may be on rails, although not is not confirmed.

No word on whether the game will see an US release or not, but I think it’s possible. Would you want this game if it came out here, or do you need more information to decide?
