It really works: check out this functional Game Boy cosplay

Those little and mid-sized anime conventions are…well, I’ll be nice. Let’s just say that they’re not for me. You’ll always see those same vendors that travel the country selling their too-often handled wares. You’ll see those same washed-out, self-important voice actors prancing the halls every time. Oh, and there’s always that guy who looks like or actually is a child abductor. 

The big anime events? Oh, those are way better. Big parties with open bars (and invites for me!). Half naked girls that are not jailbait. Stores that sell retro games and cool people that run them.

But Ohio’s Ohayocon (I see what you did there) did have at least one interesting moment. Check out this guy’s functional Game Boy cosplay, with buttons and d-pad and all. I know that it’ll be hard to resist wanting to punch in the head of the player, but you’ll have to struggle through.
