It looks like Wii U is getting snubbed again for Call of Duty: Black Ops III

We’ll always have Black Ops II and Ghosts, Nintendo

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is finally making the jump to a full-on current-gen experience, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year. Sadly, that means yet another snub for the Wii U, the constant “is it or is it not current-gen” system, as it looks like there’s no hope in sight for a Nintendo console release.

Back in 2012 the Wii U was graced with Black Ops II, which was actually a very good port, and given the enhancements compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions, could be considered the definitive console experience. It wasn’t meant to be though, as the Wii U barely got any DLC until a small content update a bizarre two years later, and Ghosts didn’t really get any support in general.

Things were even worse for Nintendo fans with Advanced Warfare due to complete lack of a Wii U release altogether, and given recent statements regarding Black Ops III, there’s very little hope for that port either.

Pour one out for the GamePad, Activision.
