Is Hogwarts Legacy still coming to Switch? Answered

WB insists the Switch version is still on track

Hogwarts Legacy is having a rather strange tiered launch, with PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S arriving on February 7, followed by April 4 on PS4 and Xbox One, and July 25 on Switch. Just how is that last platform progressing? Let’s take a look.

When does Hogwarts Legacy launch on Switch?

As of right now, the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy will launch on July 25, 2023. Although the development team has been rather quiet on the matter outside of providing a new date, we do have a glimmer of hope that it’s still in the works, and will actually launch come July.

Thanks to some new information from a interview with Avalanche designer Troy Johnson, we have a bit more to go on when it comes to progress on the Switch edition of the game:

“The Switch version is going to be awesome, it sure will be. We are doing everything in our power to make sure that each version is beautiful, that it is well optimized and above all that it is faithful to the idea we had of the title. And in the end it will be exactly the title we want.”

Of course, that’s the best sugar-coated PR answer you could give; but it does indicate that the Switch port is still on track for a release in 2023, and hasn’t been canceled yet.
