Is EA prepping ‘Spore Hero’ games for the Wii and Nintendo DS?

Recommended Videos

We already knew Will Wright’s Spore — obviously groomed to be a mega-franchise for Electronic Arts — was coming to the Wii, but had little other information. New details suggest the game will be called Spore Hero, and will not be a port of the PC title, but instead a new title designed specifically for Nintendo’s console.

These details come from the German GamePro, who claims to have seen a trailer for the game at a recent EA event. The magazine also suggests that a follow up to last year’s Nintendo DS title is being prepped as well, called Spore Hero Arena

If the info does pan out, it’s likely we’ll start seeing more information soon, and possibly this trailer the members of the fancy press have been seeing. Are you excited for a Wii version of the title, or did last year’s Spore hype wear you out?
