Iran has become the first country to ban the hugely popular Pokemon Go. The decision was made by The High Council of Virtual Spaces, the wonderfully-named authority on such things..
According to the BBC, the ban is related to “unspecified security concerns” after “[r]eports last month said Iranian authorities were waiting to see to what extent the game’s creators would co-operate with them before making a decision on banning it.”
Iran isn’t the only concerned nation, just the first to ban the game. Remember that Russia fears it is a CIA psyop meant to destabilize the country.
