inXile is bringing the original Wasteland to GOG, Steam

Free for backers of Wasteland 2

Now this is a pleasant turn of events. inXile Entertainment plans to sell Wasteland on GOG.com and Steam ahead of the release of its new Wasteland 2.

Those of you who contributed to the game’s crowdfunding initiative will get a free copy of the classic role-playing title, as has been the plan for a while now, but after talking it over with Electronics Arts, everyone will have the chance to buy the game on those digital platforms.

And if you regret not participating in the campaign originally, inXile is still accepting funding. This free Wasteland offer extends to late backers, too. Nice to see this finally happen.
