Inti Creates and Sunsoft are working together on a new 8-bit Blaster Master game

Blaster Master is well known to a lot of people. It basically took me to the next level way back when, as it was notably difficult and contained a mixture of action platforming and Metroidvania exploration. I even explained how it was almost criminal that it wasn’t included on the NES Classic Edition release in my review.

And despite the few attempts there have been at a revival, this new one from Inti Creates and Sunsoft actually looks promising. It’s called Blaster Master Zero, and will be an 8-bit style release. It’ll be released in spring of 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop (and given their track record, possibly PC at some point).

Given the job Inti Creates has done with Azure Striker Gunvolt, I’m on board. Check out some screens below.
