Interview: Gears of War 3’s Rod Fergusson

Recommended Videos

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of sitting down with Gears of War 3 Executive Producer, Rod Fergusson. It was also the closest I’ll probably ever get to feeling like I’m a host of a Late Night show with our interview set-up. We chatted about Gear’s campaign, the development of Marcus’s character and why Microsoft didn’t put a gun to their head to add Kinect.

Off camera Rod also informed me that no matter how much I sucked at Gear’s online competitive scene, since I played the first two games, I can’t enter the casual mode. He also told me that the extra time the team got to finish up Gears was spent making sure that all of the different aspects of the game were polished and ready for the millions that will be throwing the disc into their 360s.

To get a feel of the campaign for yourself make sure you check out our preview of the first chapter and look out for our review when the game drops on September 20.
