Interplay to bring Earthworm Jim, Clayfighter to Virtual Console

Recommended Videos

Today has been a great day in the world of the Virtual Console! Not only was River City Ransom released, but Interplay just confirmed it will be bringing four of its classic Genesis games to the Wii’s retro download service by the end of the year: Earthworm Jim, Earthworm Jim 2, Boogerman and Clayfighter.

Yes, I love Earthworm Jim (and its awesome sequel) more than words, but let’s talk about Clayfighter, shall we? The craptastic fighting game may be the worst thing ever in most people’s eyes, but it holds a very special place in my retro heart. You know the place I am talking about: the one reserved for things like Showgirls and reruns of Small Wonder.

As of now, no release dates outside of “sometime in 2008” have been announced.

What do you think? Like me, did you just rip off your shirt in excitement? Is Bad Mr. Frosty the greatest videogame character of all time?
