Final Fantasy VII Remake might now be finally out in the wild, but that hasn’t stopped publisher Square Enix from pumping out new episodes of its ongoing Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake documentary series, charting to the path to fruition for this delightful adventure.

The fifth episode is all about the looks, and showcases the amazing talents that have taken the famous characters and locales from the classic 1997 PlayStation release and given them an incredible new visual style – literally brimming with energy and emotion – and allowing fans to see Cloud, Aerith, Barret, and friends like never before.

This latest video features insight from director Tetsuya Nomura, producer Yoshinori Kitase, and character modeller Masaaki Kazeno. Also appearing are animators Hiroyuki Nagatsuka and Hiroyuki Yamaji, whose responsibility of giving life and form to these stunningly realised worlds cannot be understated.

As always, those of you were are wary of spoilers might want to give this video series a pass, as each episode is peppered with clips taken from FFVII Remake‘s various cutscenes.
