Infinity Ward legend Jason West apparently now works for Epic Games

Epic Respawn

Epic Games is not only making waves in the realm of digital distribution but is now hiring on big name talent. According to a recent Tweet from Geoff Keighley, Jason West (co-founder of both Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment) has been working for Epic for roughly a month now. While his name may not be exactly widespread, his work more than speaks for itself. Call of Duty should be familiar to everyone, but West was also responsible for getting the original Titanfall off the ground (he left Respawn in 2013 before it released).

Epic has apparently hired West on for its game development efforts. Whether this means constantly tweaking Fortnite or possibly creating a new IP is unknown, but it can only mean good things. West’s track record for developing shooters is pretty stellar and with Epic mostly focusing on games with guns, West is sure to be a good fit.

All I can think of, though, is West getting his hands on Unreal Tournament. That would certainly be an Epic turn of events…Get it?..because of the company name…Never mind.
