In case you missed it: Lumines now available on PC

For those of you who haven’t purchased or played Q Entertainment’s nastily addictive puzzler Lumines on the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, Xbox Live Arcade, or mobile phone, we’ve got the thing for you: Lumines on the PC.

Available today from Wild Games, the PC version of Lumines will run you $19.99. The game appears to have skins and songs from the PSP games, Lumines 2. But if that’s not your thing, the PC version also contains a “Skin Edit” mode, which could yield some interesting results from a dedicated community.

The game supports keyboard and mouse, but the thought of playing Lumines like that makes my fingers and head hurt. If you have a PSP, your best bet is likely to skip this version and pick up the original, which (if you can find it) you can get used for a relatively low price. Or better yet, skip this game altogether. It’s not that the game isn’t great … it’s actually fantastic. But it’s more addictive than cocaine, and as bad for your eyes as a solar eclipse. Oh, who am I kidding — I’m playing this game on every format known to man.
