Ilomilo’s music will charm the pants off you

I shouldn’t be surprised to find out the soundtrack to Southend Interactive’s Ilomilo meshes nicely with the delightfully chaotic visuals presented on screen. I shouldn’t, but I am.

The music is the sort of relaxed, cheerful, straight-up catchy stuff we don’t necessarily hear a lot of in videogame tunes these days. Plus, the use of quirky sound effects really feeds into this idea — think back to, say, the 90s when there were more constraints on what could and couldn’t be done.

The Ilomilo dev blog is currently offering free downloads of the soundtrack. You know what to do.
