Facebook games are growing in popularity, but they haven’t won me over yet. Throwing out notifications of everything that has happened to your Wall is nifty in a sense, but no one really likes seeing your in-game accomplishments. You have to know that.
A game designer named Zack Hiwiller had fun with the idea of turning NES classic Super Mario Bros into a Facebook game with some mock screenshots. Insulting tutorials, pop-up prompts and the charging of money to progress? This is a funny idea, but it really makes me think how much better a game would be outside of Facebook and on its own.
