Iceman does things with ice in the latest MUA 2 trailer

Iceman — Robert or “Bobby” Drake, for some nerds — is one of the roughly two billion playable characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. This morning Activision unleashed a short vignette and a few still images featuring the snow-slidin’ and ice-throwin’ protagonist. It is no surprise that Iceman can rock villains with a flurry of cold powers, but it’s satisfying to see nonetheless, especially if you’re a fan of what he brought to the table in the original MUA.

A minor MUA 2-related side note: The title is still slated for release — according to GameStop at least — on September 15th on the Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The above video and accompanying screenshots are, naturally, from the latter two versions of the game.

We like the way Iceman rolls and certainly don’t mind his look. Drake is one of those characters that could easily blend in despite his powers. There are too many blue bald dudes in the Marvel universe.
