iBet: Gaming on smartphones up 60%

I don’t know about you, but I see people playing games on their phones all the time.  I see plenty of non-gamer types in lines, at the airport. and everywhere else — all gaming. So this data from comScore does not surprise me.

There’s a 60 percent increase in the number of smartphone gamers. They say that these people are three times more likely to game on their device than non-smartphone people. That makes sense, as the games on the non-smartphones suck!

Mark Donovan, comScore senior analyst says that there’s an optimism about this market. I’ll say!  He says that the increased accessibility and better game experiences, we can expect this growth to increase even further.

Beyond this, comScore says that a third of smartphone users have ore than five games installed on their phones. I have…about 40? God, I’m a loser!
