I-Mockery’s next game is Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla

Man’s greatest question answered

Last year, fans of I-Mockery‘s irreverent brand of pop culture humor were treated to Abobo’s Big Adventure, a mashup of all things NES starring the muscle-bound Double Dragon boss Abobo. As hilarious as Abobo’s Big Adventure was, I was just as impressed by how faithfully it emulated all the parodied titles. It demonstrated an understanding and appreciation of classic game mechanics at a base level, which makes me very excited for the team’s follow-up project.

I-Mockery has partnered with Adult Swim to answer the Big Question that has plagued mankind for centuries: “What would happen if you removed a gorilla’s arms and replaced them with chainsaws, and you removed its legs and replaced them with a pogo stick?” Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla would happen! The dev crew — consisting of I-Mockery founder Roger “RoG” Barr, Abobo artist Pox, and regular I-Mockery programmer Jacob West — promises to deliver an ultra-violent platformer about an escaped lab experiment looking for blood. Of course they would!

No release date has been announced yet, but RoG tells me that Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla should be out later this year. At first it’ll be playable for free on Adult Swim Games, but there is the possibility of ports to other platforms like Steam. If you want to stay in the loop, follow I-Mockery either on Facebook or Twitter.
