The latest advert for Detective Pikachu makes me long for simpler times back when we were grossed out by an uncomfortably realistic Mr. Mime and could move on with our day in relative peace.

Fun fact about Lickitung: “When it extends its over-six-foot-long tongue, its tail quivers.”
