I’m going to go out limb and say that, following the end of the song, Sephiroth murdered the entire building then pissed on the ashes.
“One Winged Office” is the latest tune from Random Encounters, and it proposes the idea that the members of SOLDIER were nothing more than genetically enhanced cubicle monkeys for Shinra’s corporate offices. Technically, Sephiroth is working out of a storage closet rather than a cubical. I can relate — at my last office job, I literally worked in the room where all the surplus furniture and equipment was stored. They also kept downgrading my computer to crappier and crappier models.
Such a welcoming environment, to be sure.
