Huh, so this is what Sword & Sworcery EP looks like

Don’t take that headline as a negative — Capybara and Superbrothers’ iPhone title Sword & Sworcery EP is one of the most interesting games I’ve seen for the platform in some time. In other words, summing it up in a brief sentence is difficult and, more importantly, wouldn’t do it any justice.

Up until now, we only had a quick teaser video for the game. Thanks to GDC last week, that’s changed for the better. Two videos have surfaced, each showing a different “mode” of sorts. When holding your iPhone horizontally, you calmly walk through a beautiful pixel-filled world, interacting with scenery as you go.

In the vertical mode, which is shown in a second video after the break, you fight enemies by tapping the screen. Enemies that may or may not have an adorable two-pixel-long dong. I’m already a fan of this project. Make sure to look out for Nick’s thoughts on the game tomorrow — he actually played it!
