HP launches the HP Swing in India

Recommended Videos

My guess is that we have some Indian readers out there (it is the second most populated country in the world), and that this may be of interest to them. If we don’t then here is a bit of random novelty for the rest of us. HP Pavilion PCs are now coming bundled with HP’s new motion sensing gaming console, the HP Swing Real-Life Gaming console.

It’s being touted as a chance for gamers to play motion games on their PC, and actually looks quite stylish all around. In a shocking move the Swing will provide motion controls for games like tennis (get out!), bowling (no way!), baseball (who would have thought!?) and pool (:0) and will also do basically anything else a Wii Remote will do. HP claims that this is an exclusive technology, but we’re guessing it works a lot like every other motion controller out there.

The possibility of this leaving India probably isn’t too great. I mean China already has its Wii knock-off anyway. Still, having a motion controller come with your computer for some basic games isn’t the worst thing in the world to have happen.
