The Last Resort Badge in PEAK is now available as part of The Final Ascent update, and you’ll need to find the Ritual Dagger. However, this is one of the hardest badges to complete, and you’ll also need a friend.
In this guide, I will explain the complete process so that you can complete the badge and get the available reward.
How to use the Ritual Dagger in PEAK
If you’re playing PEAK solo, you’ll need a partner for this badge. The underlying conditions for the Ritual Dagger and the Last Resort badge only activate when you’re playing co-op. If you’re playing solo, the dagger won’t spawn at all, so you can’t unlock the badge and the additional rewards.
To find the Ritual Dagger, look for Ancient Statues and Ancient Luggages. They don’t have a fixed spot, so finding one can take a fair bit of time. I found mine at the CITADEL; if you’re unable to find it in the starter biomes, don’t worry.
Once the dagger is added to your inventory, reduce your own health to 25% or below. You can simply take fall damage to hit the threshold. Reducing your health below the threshold is mandatory, since the badge requires you to have 75% health while using the Ritual Dagger.
Next, approach your friend as their back is turned towards you. Hold the right mouse button to sacrifice your buddy. This will instantly kill them and turn them into a stone; it will also get you the Last Resort badge by healing you for the required amount.
You can also use the Ritual Dagger like a consumable. It restores your lost health and recovers you from all your current ailments, so use it carefully, as it can save you from terrible situations.
