You lift me up

Ah, deserts in video games. They’re contentious! Especially if they require you to circumvent a heat mechanic. Well the scorching hot Gerudo region is back in Tears of the Kingdom, but thanks to some aerial finesse, it’s easier to fly over and mitigate. Here’s how to unlock the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and help make things easier.

Where to find the Gerudo Canyon Tower

The Gerudo Canyon Tower is right near the start of the Gerudo desert, in the southwest region of Hyrule.

You can find the precise location of the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower on the map above.

How to solve the puzzle of the Gerudo Canyon Tower in Tears of the Kingdom

This tower requires a miniature sidequest to be completed before you can use it. Sawson, an NPC found at the bottom of a lift below the tower, needs help getting up to actually reach the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

To do that, you’ll need to climb up to the top and grab some stones near the lift. Put them on the counterweight (image guidance is above if you need it), and the raise the lift up, allowing Sawson to open up the tower.

This is a crucial tower as it allows you to fly over the desert; complete with a fully visible map that isn’t scrambled by sandstorms.
