How to unlock the Fated List of Minor Prophecies in Hades 2

Self-fulfilled prophecies.

In the original Hades, the Fated List was an item you could use to complete tasks for rewards. In Hades 2 it’s, uh, pretty much the same thing. But this time around, you’ll need to summon it. Here’s how to unlock the Fated List of Minor Prophecies in Hades 2.

Before you can unlock the Fated List in Hades 2, you’ll need to first acquire and complete the Incantation ‘Fated Intervention’. You should get it early in the Incantations menu found by activating the cauldron in the Crossroads. It requires 1 Silver, 2 Ash, and 2 Moly to cast. You can gather Silver with the Crescent Pick if you need it.

Casting the Fated Intervention incantation does… nothing. Okay, maybe not. Melinoë uses it to ask the Fates to “lend their aid,” but her plea seems to go ignored. Luckily, that’s far from the case. Return to the usual program of exploring the reaches below the Crossroads. After losing a run, you should run into this mysterious dude:

Say hello to Moros, brother to the Fates, son of Nyx, and bringer of Doom. He arrives as the Fates’ emissary, and leaves you with the offering ‘The Fated List’. Return to the Crossroads to find that the Fated List of Minor Prophecies has appeared just past your campsite.

The Fated List works exactly how it did in the original game. As you complete tasks, such as defeating Guardians or meeting certain gods, you’re rewarded with materials such as plant seeds, reagents, Nectar, and more. It’s an excellent way of getting goods you may be in desperate need of, merely by playing the game. The list expands as you make more progress, so be sure to check it out every so often.

How to invite Moros to the Crossroads in Hades 2

Ah, but what of Moros, our new alarmingly attractive friend? Keep playing the game, and soon enough you may find yourself warping back to the Crossroads after another lost fight. Check the Fated List for a task called ‘Harbinger of Doom’, which rewards you for summoning Moros a second time. You’ll get the incantation ‘Doomed Beckoning’. Cast it at the Cauldron using 3 Fate Fabric and 1 Nightshade.

The next time you lose a run, Moros will appear to you. Once you return to the Crossroads, you’ll find Moros standing near the Fated List, ready to meet you in person properly.

Moros is a helpful ally in Hades 2. You can pursue a relationship path with him, earning his Keepsake and friendship. It’s worth the effort. You wouldn’t want to get on Doom’s bad side, right?
