General Grievous is the secret bonus skin on the battle pass, so the first step for unlocking him is to purchase this pass. Once you have it, you can then start unlocking him by leveling up.

Unlike most past bonus skins, he doesn’t have any special quests associated with him. Instead, all you need to do to get him and all of his accessories is simply play and work on farming XP.

In total, you need to acquire 14 levels to get the base General Grievous skin. If you want the extra Warlord Grievous style for him too, plus all other items available alongside him, you need a whopping 28 levels to collect everything.

How to get XP fast for General Grievous in Fortnite

To get 28 levels for all General Grievous items, there are a few ways you can work on quickly farming lots of XP. All of the best ways to level up fast are as follows.

How long do you have to unlock General Grievous in Fortnite?

You have until the end of Chapter Six, season three to unlock General Grievous. This season is a short one, so it ends on June 7. This means you have from May 16 to June 7 to add him to your locker, which is about three full weeks.

Can you buy General Grievous in Fortnite?

Initially, General Grievous is a battle pass exclusive character, so you won’t be able to purchase him from the shop. Like all battle pass skins, he may return as an item shop skin you can purchase with V-Bucks in the future, but it won’t be for at least 18 months after May 16, 2025, based on the battle pass exclusivity changes.

It’s quite a long time to wait, and he’ll cost a lot more if or when he does come back through the shop. It’s a much better deal to grab him through the battle pass if you’re interested in adding him to your locker.
