What is the Pumpkin King’s door in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The Pumpkin King’s door is the Candy Cane Door you can unlock through the Haunting Elegance Star Path event. The description of this event task is very misleading, as the one who holds the title of the Pumpkin King is Jack Skellington, so you’ll likely be tempted to visit his house for it.
Instead, though, you must progress through the seasonal event until you have enough tokens to unlock and place the Candy Cane Door inside one of your homes. There’s no mention of the Pumpkin King at all on this door, so it’s a pretty tough task to figure out at first.
How to find Pumpkin King’s door in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can find the Pumpkin King’s door by reaching page five of the Haunting Elegance Star Path event. Once you reach this point, it can be purchased for 60 Tokens. All pages in the event unlock in order, so to reach this point, you need to grab quite a few items from the ones that come before it first.
With the Candy Cane Door unlocked, head inside any of your houses around the valley. Enter Furniture mode, click on one of the doors, and replace it with the Candy Cane Door so you can then progress through this task.

Take a photo of the Pumpkin King’s door in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the take a photo of the Pumpkin King’s door duty for the Haunting Elegance Star Path event, you need to snap one picture with the Candy Cane Door in it. Any type of picture works as long as the door is included in the frame.
Although this task should work from any angle as long as the door is included in the photo, these types of missions are notoriously finicky. Because of this, it might take you a few tries to actually get it done.
If your first try doesn’t check it off, try moving around a bit and snapping pictures from different angles or using various photo mode options to see if it works. You may also consider moving the door around to a few different walls in your home to see if that helps.
With this task now complete, you’re ready to move on to other key missions featured in this seasonal event.
