How to solve Survivor Rescue puzzles in Zenless Zone Zero

Hoyoverse titles have been known to throw in some tricky puzzles within their games, and Zenless Zone Zero is no different. One of the first ones you’ll encounter occurs during Chapter 1, requiring you to rescue various characters. Here’s how to solve the Survivor Rescue puzzles in Zenless Zone Zero.

How to finish planning routes in Zenless Zone Zero Survivor Rescue

The Survivor Rescue puzzles require you to use Tracks in the Hollow Exploration, transporting some helpless citizens out of danger. Agents must select the correct layout to save everyone, as well as choose other routes for more rewards.

In total, players will need to complete three puzzles in Zenless Zone Zero’s Survivor Rescue. You should also get your characters to Level 22 to help eliminate a boss at the end of the mission.

Puzzle 1 solution

The first puzzle is the easiest of the bunch, with its reasonably short pathway. But, if you want to rescue the character and gain Gear Coins, start from the left and work your way to the right side. Ensure you also collect your Dennies gift and use your Gear Coins before leaving the area.

Puzzle 2 solution

Survivor Rescue’s second puzzle is where things get tricky, requiring you to save two fallen characters. Follow these steps in the correct order:

1. Take a left
2. Go down two spaces
3. Take another left
4. Travel up three spaces
5. Go four monitors to the right
6. Go down one space
7. Take a right
8. Go down two spaces
9. Go left two spaces
10. Travel up one space

If you set things in the wrong order, don’t worry; you can reset them shortly after.

Puzzle 3 solution

Now, we will tackle the mission’s most challenging task of rescuing three people. It will be even more difficult for those who want to gain the Gear Coins, too. Fortunately, there’s a way to get them both with these steps:

1. Take a left
2. Go down three spaces
3. Take another left
4. Go up four monitors
5. Travel to the top-right corner of the puzzle
6. Go down to the bottom-right corner of the layout
7. Take two lefts
8. Go up one space
9. Take a left
10. Go up two monitors
11. Take two rights
12. Go down one space

As long as you’ve followed the above solutions, it’ll finish the planning routes. Take care of the enemy boss to complete the rest of ZZZ’s Survivor Rescue quest.
