Skull and Bones Sea Shanty

How to sing Sea Shanties in Skull and Bones

Leave her Johnny, Leave her!

Living the life of a pirate isn’t complete without some proper Sea Shanties. Ubisoft knows this, so the pirate adventure gives players the option to sing Sea Shanties when traversing the open seas. Here is how to sing Sea Shanties in Skull and Bones.

How to sing Sea Shanties

In order to sing Sea Shanties in Skull and Bones, you must be sailing in your ship, and cannot be in combat or doing another action like harvesting. Next, you need to open the radial menu, as is circled in the screenshot above. The default control to open the radial menu on the PC is the Left Control. Once open, you’ll see further options you can drag your mouse to and execute commands.

One of the options should be a green circle with white music notes. If you hover over it, it will show the command as Play/Stop Shanty. Left-click to select this option and your crew will begin to sing a random Sea Shanty.

Unfortunately, it’s random which they sing, and there does not appear to be a way to change that. But, you can go back into the menu and issue the Play/Stop Shanty command again to stop it, then again to have your crew start it up again, randomly picking which to sing next.

As soon as you enter combat or begin performing another action, the crew will stop singing and focus on what they are doing. They won’t resume singing afterward, however, after some time of quietness they may automatically start singing a new one.

It’s that easy to sing Sea Shanties in Skull and Bones, so get out on the sea and start singing Leave Her Johnny, which was also in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag! Just keep in mind you might have to try a few times to get it!
