How to revive an NPC in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Help! They've fallen and they can't get up!

Thanks to the robust abilities of the Arisen, not all is lost when an NPC dies from a fatal blow. One resource, in particular, gives you the power to bring someone back to life, even if they’ve made it to the morgue or charnel house. Here’s how to revive an NPC in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Reviving NPC in Dragon’s Dogma 2, explained

Use the Wakestone to revive NPCs in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You can find these items by looting chests or exploring the wilds. Try to loot as much as possible to discover a Wakestone or Wakestone Shard. The gem’s recipe mandates three shards to complete the mystifying object. Once you find the item, look for any fallen NPCs to produce the revive option.

You can stumble upon these individuals randomly, but sometimes, they can be associated with a quest. For example, the Monster Culling mission presents a fallen NPC who needs to be escorted out of a cave. With this in mind, it’s best to always keep a Wakestone on you, especially since it can also revive the Arisen.

Apart from random events and quests, NPCs inside the morgue or charnel houses may be revived. If a civilian dies, they will be brought to the nearest location in a few days. The symbol for these establishments will be marked as a coffin on the map. Approach the civilian’s corpse while here to use the Wakestone and bring them back to life.

Reviving Pawns works differently as they do not need the stone. As an Arisen, you can revive them as often as required during battle. However, players must do so before the time limit ends, or the Pawn will be removed from the party. The Main Pawn (the one you created) is the only one that can be brought back instantly when touching a Riftstone.
