Best ways to get ready for Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Although there’s nothing you must have done to dive into Honeyglow Woods, there are many steps you can take ahead of time to make this exciting new journey easier to navigate. Here are the best ways to prepare and get ready for Honeyglow Woods in DDV.
Make a dedicated storage area
Honeyglow Woods is a vast land with lots of new resources available for you to grab, so consider setting up a storage area for all these key items ahead of time. You can either add on to a storage area you already have, or prepare a few chests to place down around this region.
I generally prefer to place chests in the new area for materials while working through the main storyline and friendship quests, then once they’re all done, I move those chests over to my storage island. It’s completely up to you how you choose to navigate this process, but you’ll absolutely want some kind of storage ready to be used when navigating through this area.
Find a spot for the portal

To access Honeyglow Woods, you have to plant and grow a magical new portal using a Tree Sprout that will arrive in the mail once the DLC is live. It’s quite a big item, so consider finding a spot for the portal ahead of launch.
You can always move it around later, but you will need some space for it right away. The portal can be placed in the main valley or on Floating Islands. It’s currently unclear whether it can also be moved over to DLC worlds, as only the other two options are mentioned in the official blog post, so for now, expect to place it in the valley or on an island.
Cook some meals
You’ll likely want to get around quickly while exploring Honeyglow Woods, so consider cooking up some meals to have on hand ahead of time. These dishes can then be consumed so you can use the gliding ability, which helps you traverse around a lot more quickly. If you have Wishblossom Ranch, you might also consider unlocking all horses and mounts so you can use them to get around more quickly here.

Stock up on some Star Coins
Many of the tasks you might run into around Honeyglow Woods may require you to spend some money, so stock up on some Star Coins ahead of time to prepare for this possibility. Villager houses in particular tend to be a bit pricey, and you’ll be building three of them here.
Unlock Tigger
There’s already one Winnie the Pooh character available to meet and befriend, which is Tigger over in Wishblossom Ranch. He’ll likely have some fun dialogue and interactions available with Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet, so consider unlocking Tigger if you haven’t already.

Stock up on key materials and ingredients
For the most part, crafting, cooking, and questing in Honeyglow Woods will be focused on new items. There are some staples, though, that you’ll still need, so try to stock up on key materials and ingredients for this release. This includes items like Hardwood, Softwood, pantry items from Chez Remy or Tiana’s Palace, basic vegetables, Rich Soil, and other such resources.
Be ready to go at release time
With all other key preparations made, the final step is simply to learn the exact release time and date for Honeyglow Woods. This ensures you’ll be prepared to dive in and start exploring as soon as possible.
